Kush
E.Q.: How did the civilization of Kush develop?
The Kingdom of Kerma became quite wealthy, and that sparked the Civilization of Kush/Nubia. The kings of Kerma were buried in tombs full of many jewels, gold, pottery and stones. In the 1400s BCE, Thutmose III sent his armies into Nubia, so Egypt invaded Nubia. Eventually, Egyptians took back control over Egypt.
From the city of Napata, Kushite kings ruled. Small pyramids were built to bury these kings in. Soon, Kushites learned of the secret iron-making, then, Meroe became the center of trade and iron-making. Meroe was rebuilt to look like an Egyptian city by Kush's Kings
